I've drove in cars with no airbags fitted for donkeys years, never bothered me in the least , and yes honestly if my airbag light came on and I couldn't sort it myself I would disable the bulb if I couldn't live with it glowing at me , and I am thinking swopping my steering wheel soon for a Momo item and that wont have an air bag in it so probably will have to whip the bulb out if I cant sort a resistor to extinguish it Quote

stuey Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 update......... i can see a pattern here ....... ive just had my car serviced by a jap specialist and he looked at the airbag problem......... the fault was diagnosed as an open circuit on the seat belt tensioner.......£404 for a new one ............ when i got home i did the ignition key reset proceedure and now the light has gone out now this happend the last time nissan plugged their laptop on to it but the light came on again after a month ..........so im wondering how long it will stay off this time........ .... my car is going to nissan for a diagnostic on tuesday so will see wot comes of that........ stuey Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 car been diagnosed by my local nissan dealer wiv a faulty seat belt tensioner on the drivers side.......... it has an open circuit ..........as ive had the car only 5 months from them they sed they will knock some money off................. i think they gonna only charge me half hour labour.. also there is is a new service receptionist helping out.......... she is 17yrs old and is drop dead gorgous ....... shes just rang to say i can go tomoro to get it fitted........... i cant wait.........!!!!
