I can remove the bluetooth cradle right?

Without any adverse affects? It's a pretty big conecting block for a simple little device Is it related to the small black box under the heater controls?

 

I want to fit an iPod cradle there instead

Yes. U can remove it with no adverse effects. I have done it to mine with no probs.
