Reusing JDM sat nav monitor

Has anybody ever tried this, Im thinking about install a small carputer and would like to reuse the monitor, is it possible?

Pretty sure the stock screen doesnt have VGA in (computer monitor connector). You can get a small box from NavTool, but be warned they aint cheap, and I dont think they offer VGA in either. Far cheaper to get a new 7" touch screen
