dundee Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Hi Im having problems with my rear brakes when the snow was here my car never moved for a few weeks the handbrake was left on when i tried to move nothing happened when i gave it some accelertion there was a bit of a bang then i was moving . Once i got going and put the brakes on there was a shuddering from the back end it was like i was driving over a lot of bumps when i stpopped braking it was fine no shuddering or noise the car is 18 month old with 4500 miles . martinmac Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Hi and welcome to the forum. This is a pretty common problem. If left parked with the handbrake on for a while they will lock up. The juddering when they are free does sound like you may have issues with the pads though, get them checked out. Stick a post up in the intro section so we can say Hi.
