Leeroy Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I took the car in for an MOT on saturday and it failed on a leaky offside shock absorber What make are the OEM shocks and what would the best (and most cost effective) OEM alternative be? I'm not looking to upgrade particularly. The other option is to go S/H I guess. I assume that it's OK (but not ideal!) to replace just one side if the other's OK? The garage also showed me some front suspension bushes (both sides) which are also on their way out. I think they are the ones on the lower control arms but i need to double check that. If so, can the bushes be fitted separately? Quote

Chesterfield Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Agree with the above. Mine used to twitch to one side as one shock was leaking. Best to make sure you get even response from both sides and replace the pair of shocks together. Quote
