Rusty Bottom....

Recommended Posts

When I was having my wheels alligned... the guy who did them commented on how rusty she was underneath.... for such a NEW car!

Got my private plate one, not sure how young he though my 2003 motor was!

Anyway, is there anything I can do about my general rusting underneath?

He didn't go into much detail and I can't really get under her to have a good look.....

Anyone know if I should get her Shultz'd or something?

yes you can get it coated. i think buried in alexz's progress thread there should be a point where he coted the bottom fo the car. i think there was someone else who sandblasted and then recoated it also, hit the search button. something to do with wax.

Might see who does what nearby.

Would be good to get it sorted before winter... and before it gets any worse.

Cheers...

Sure its a UK car you have and not an import, as japanese cars are generally not undersealed underneath from the factory

Yup... UK car. Says so in the V5 :)

To be honest, he MIGHT have just been talking about the mechanical stuff.

I think I need to get her up on some axle stands and have a look myself :)

There not the greatest underneath at all, mine looks abit rusty in places and its a 56 plate with less then 12k on the clock. Most jap built cars dont have the protection european cars have.
