Polishing kit required for soft paint

Hi Ive just ordered the Meguairs G220 machine polisher could any body please advise me what would be the best polishing kits for my black black edition 370?

Also got my G220 kit from polishedbliss,they sent Menzerna finishing polish with light cut pads and finishing pads.

Can also try Poorboys SSR range and their Black Hole glaze.

What size pads am i looking for is it just 7 inch ones that i can use on the G220. All i want at the minute is minimum cutting and a high polish. Clarkie did polished bliss send you the extras free or did you have to order them seperately?

No mate I ordered a soft paint kit off the website.They sent the polisher with pads and polish.

I didn't really get on with the menzerna range, far too dusty for my liking, i'm a big fan of the 3M stuff

^^^ Menzerna is really good when it wants to work though When it doesn't fancy it, it's a nightmare

 

For easy polishing go with the 3m perfect-it III range. Try Fast cut plus and finish off with Ultrafina.

Pads I'd go with an orange or yellow polishing pad for the fast cut plus and a blue high gloss pad for the ultrafina.

How would the pads attach to the pads attach to the G220 polisher? Do i need to buy backing plates?

Whats different with the orange or the yellow pads?

You get a large backing plate with the G220,polishedbliss chucked in a small one for spot pads in with my kit.

 

Difference between orange and yellow pads is the cut they provide.

The orange is the softer of the 2.
