removing headlamps to paint wings

Yep, you are right, it's a bumper off job. However this is a very simple job and can be done in minutes.

Turn your wheels all the way to one side

Using a stubby screwdriver, remove the 2 screws from your wheel arch liner (right on the edge of the arch)

Remove the 2 bolts from under the front corner of the bumper at the bottom (Pliers may be required to hold the nut on the inside as they're sometimes difficult to remove).

Peel back the arch liner, and undo the 2 bolts which are facing vertically, where the bumper joins the arch (socket extender bar is useful here)

Repeat on the other side

Remove the 6 bolts from underneath the bumper at the front (pliers may be required again here).

Remove the 6 pop studs under the bonnet

Bumper will just lift off.

Headlight is held on by 4 bolts i believe. Socket extender required again.

Unclip the headlight from the loom with a flat blade screwdriver in the connection.

Refit is the same as removal in reverse.
