255 on rears with standard fronts

Going from 245/45s to 255/40s reduces your rolling circumference by 2.43%.

 

Not a huge difference, normally it's recommended to stay within 2.5%...If I was going up to 19s for example, I'd rather be going bigger than smaller on circumference on these cars as the rear tends to sit higher than the fronts so you'd lose a bit of that arch gap.

 

[Edit] Just ran 255/45s through a tyre calculator...they're only 1.33% bigger. Diameter works out about 9mm bigger, 4.5mm less arch gap but will sit 4.5mm higher. :thumbs:
