Redex for petrol injectors

Today I was given a bottle of Redex for petrol injectors, I have heard of it before ( on here ) and I know what it suppesed to do but never used it in any of my cars.

So, is this safe and reccomended (or not) to use on the Zed and there is any precourtions that I need to know?

As stupid as it sounds, do I have to pur the Redex straight after filling up or can I drive home ( 2miles max ) and do it there?

5th gear did a test on all of these liquids, and all of them had a negative affect on the engine performance reducing bhp by upto 4% . ! FYI.....

Do you know if it was a long term loss?

Providing that it does what it says on the tin I was thinking to use it every 5k miles to clean the enjectors and other residue left

If your using Optimax or Ultimate then they contain the same type of cleaners.....

 

No real point unless your using just normal unleaded

Only for the duration of the very "controlled" testing they did, it was put accross as " a complete waste of money".........

Good thing that it was given and not paid for.....

 

I fill up with Tesco 99 or V-Power only

If your using Optimax or Ultimate then they contain the same type of cleaners.....
