Hi all,

thanks for taking the time to try and help me out!

I drove thismornign and as i got to about 5.5k revs, the handbrake light, and esp and slip light came on! the engien was running normall. i pulled over and restarted the car and the lights went off. next time i reved the car they came on again!

I have read posts on here about engine codes etc - are the lights coming on as described a sign that i have a fault? i thought normally it was just the warning light that came on??

any help would be fantastic...

Hi Iain

The first thing to check is the brake fluid level, if it is on or near the min then it will just need topping up but it might mean that your brake pads are getting low, best to get it checked out properly as the inner pads always wear quicker than the outer ones.

Hope this helps

Ross.

Many thnanks for the repies all.

Yes, the second time it came on it was at the same (high revs)... will see what it does when i drive it later....

I am surprised brake fluid could do this? will take a look though, so thanks..

Read other posts that suggest it could be a cam sensor. apparently these are quite cheap to buy ? any ideas on cost of fitting?

Thanks again..

OK, sounds like I need to do the code ID thing first.... I have seen a post on here explaining how to do that.. sounds a little complicated! May just take it to a dealer to get the code...

Anyway, thanks again for all your help.
