The metal bit snapped the other day, VW wants £170 for a replacement key, he managed to source the actual metal bit only ( with all the parts to install it ), as the other part with the immobilazer and the open/close switch it's ok. Where can he get this cut? Is it a VW dealer job or a good Locksmith shop can do? Thanks Quote
sparky370z Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 i have been into a local place to get one cut for my Fiesta ST. i had the original key tho. he programmed it and everything. ford wanted 150 notes and this place did it for 60 quid. was spot on!! just ask in local key cutting place. Quote

Thanks Timpsons do it for you probably about £30 they can also arrange a mobile call out type guy to fix it on site but that's £100 Quote
