Anyone purchased a house in france.

Looking at get a cheap house in north France, between Abbeville and Croix to be precise.

Anyone got experience of buying abroad.

Not directly but family have done on a few occasions. WHSmith normally have a few magazines on buying or moving to France / Spain / Portugal and go through what the process is etc. They'll normally have links to estate agents that have English speakers there and you can also search properties.

I've got some contacts at a big Solicitors that have a specialist department with specialist Solicitors dealing only with France purchases mate so if you get that far give me a shout. As far as the finance goes (and they should be able to give you advice too) check out www.mortgageoverseas.com, its a company called Conti Financial Services who specialise in financing properties abroad. The other option, if you've got the equity, is to raise the funding over here - PM me if you like (I'm a Mortgage Broker).

Again not directly I'm affraid however I can try to put you in touch with a friends parents who have not long moved out there ........ if that's any help mate.

Will more than likely be buying with money raised on UK house.

It will be quite cheap, approx £100k as just looking for something to use when doing track days and the odd weekend.

 

If I get it, may even offer a weekend or two on here, if you cut the grass (or turn on the heating if during winter) and redirect any mail if there is any.
