Sat Nav CD

My Sat Nav has completly stopped working after I took out the DVD for about 20 seconds and then put it back in. Now the Sat Nav will not load up at all!! So strange has anyone else had this problem? It just keeps saying loading. The cd is not scratched and is in perfect condition.

 

Im considering going to Nissan for them to replace the DVD as I am still under warrenty im sure this is covered in warrenty is it not? Or is there anything else I should try.

 

I am certain it is the DVD as I have put the same DVD in my friends Navara and it does not work on his either.

You could try disconnecting the battery, then reconnect and it may do a sort of reset of the DVD or Sat-Nav. But I think it might be worth calling a dealer to see if they have any idea how to fix it, or if it is covered under warranty.

Take the car to the dealer. Each dealer is alocated a certain amount of disks but many buy them from e-bay. They will try a new disl but if that doesnt work the good news is that there is now a UK supplier for the Birdview unit. It took me 8 months to get mine from France and that was with Nissan on the case.
