Woody Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Durring this time of year, as all of you's already know, the mass of flies generally end up of the front of my car. I've tried various bug and tar removers, but none of them have really had the power to easily get those little beggers off the paint. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to use/ what to do to remove them? Cheers Woody Quote
Walbertonio Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Funnily enough I just bought something for that very purpose, and it's turned out to be quite handy. I tried out Chemical Guys - Strong Wash (Bug Bugger): http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-a ... d_183.html Think I may have diluted it a little too much but even so leaving it on for a good 10 minutes helped me shift some tar that has been a pain for quite some time - didn't shift it all mind, I'm hoping a few more visits and a slightly higher concentration should do the trick - for the flies, it was spot on. There's probably loads of similar things about but that's one I found useful anyway. Quote
Woody Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Cheers Bud, I'll give that a try. The price is spot on as well. Quote
clarkie34 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Tardis is very good stuff for removing tar,but be careful as it's very strong stuff and needs to be rinsed down well. Quote
martinopy Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 A good clay bar will sort it out in no time. Quote
