MiKyHuT Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 no idea why it ddnt do it before, but u'll find most soft tops do that. Quote
j33p1995 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Thanks I think I can live with it, got some knew boots on the car today not as bad as I thought it was going to be, I all so managed to push the button for the petrol flap though the hole in the bottom of the dash now I have to find a way of getting to it. BladesGrant Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Yep this is normal for the roaster. Don't worry about the petrol cap button either, I have done that as well. Only a couple of screws to get access to it and then it pops back on. I am now a little less violent when I push it!!! Quote
j33p1995 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Cheers, R these screws at the bottom of the dash consol? Quote
BladesGrant Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Yeah if you get into the footwell you should be able to see them. You should be able to just take a couple off and then squeeze your hand up. Only about a 10 minute job, but I did nearly poop myself when I initially did especially as I was in the petrol station!!! Quote
j33p1995 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Right I'll have a go in the morning, i thought I might super glue the dam thing. Chris. Quote
BladesGrant Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Right I'll have a go in the morning, i thought I might super glue the dam thing. Chris. Clear silicone will become your friend!!! Quote
j33p1995 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 I'll get some, I'm off down to High Wycome in the morning see some family so I'll pick some up. Chris. Quote
BladesGrant Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I had to use some on my side repeater as I broke the little clips while changing my Z badges!!! just used a little clear silicone and as good as new. I must be heavy handed!!!! Quote
j33p1995 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 I don't think I'm heavy handed things just seem to brake when I get near them, I don't surpose you have any dealings with those bits you stick on the dash or the doors I forget what they call the stuff?(carbon thingis) Chris. Quote
BladesGrant Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Sorry, I don't have any dealings with Carbon Thingis. Just a guy who breaks things and silicones them back together. Not sure what Carbon Thingis are though?? Quote
j33p1995 Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Sorry carbon trim, I've seen pics of this trim on the dash & centre consol & doors I think the kit costs £600--£800 I think I might just pop into APS see how much they charge for a service insted they used to service my TT don't know if they will do the Z.
