Yo! :dance:

 

From what I can gather, one of the main differences between the VQ35DE and VQ35HR is that the HR has a variable exhaust cam as well as the intake, whereas the the DE only has the variable intake...

 

Can anyone comment about how much difference this actually makes in real terms?

 

All thoughts appreciated...

all 2005 350Z with Brembo's and manual transmission have variable exhaust cams as well as intake cams. All 2006 + models (auto and manual) have it as well

 

In real terms, a flatter torque curve and the ability to run a more aggressive set of cams (if properly tuned for)
