spindoctor Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Yo! From what I can gather, one of the main differences between the VQ35DE and VQ35HR is that the HR has a variable exhaust cam as well as the intake, whereas the the DE only has the variable intake... Can anyone comment about how much difference this actually makes in real terms? All thoughts appreciated... Cheers, Doug Quote
Adam@Z1auto.com Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 all 2005 350Z with Brembo's and manual transmission have variable exhaust cams as well as intake cams. All 2006 + models (auto and manual) have it as well In real terms, a flatter torque curve and the ability to run a more aggressive set of cams (if properly tuned for) Quote
spindoctor Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 So is that the Rev-up or 35th anniversary engine you're referring to? (middle column in this table) Quote
Adam@Z1auto.com Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 revups are 35th anniversary - same engine HR are totally different (dual intakes) Quote
