Nick U Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Just had the injen CAI installed on the car today. Looks great, the only problem I have is the engine check light now comes on and stays on. Anyone had this before? Quote
lomoto Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 try disconnecting the battery for about 30secs, my lights came on once and this cured it...providing there isnt a fault of course Quote
Nick U Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 They did try the battery thing, but no luck apparently. The car is going back tomorrow so they can plug it into a computer to see the codes. They think it's because the MAF sensor was taken off and it just needs the engine check light resetting. Quote
JDM Performance Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I have a Blitz R-VIT which I sometimes connect to the car to read out any engine error codes. Very handy for fault diagnosis Quote

If the MAF sensor is dirty this will throw up the check light It may have been touched when changing the housings Quote
Nick U Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 Got the car to a local garage that could plug it in to read the fault codes. It came up with engine temp and air flow!!!! They kindly reset them and now it's fine. Drives like a dream. Certainly feels like you can notice the difference, asuming im not just in my head. The best thing though is it looks lovely. Thanks for your help guys, Just so you can all see what the fuss was about...... Quote
