teddyonholiday Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 You have got to be joking there has to a 45 minute video just to show how not to remove this item. There are eight bolts which are "factory sealed" to prevent misalignment after fitting, to undo them results in a roof which will not function correctly. I know this as I have tried it and boy it takes alot of time and guess work to get it re aligned to operate. Even if it went for 100 it would cost more than the 2 grand in fitting and getting it all working. You have to have a diagnostic unit to plug into the roof controller, no it isnt on the CAN bus, so you cant just use the Consult II but you do have to use it and the roof control box. It is a really difficult unit to fit and get working, my money would be dont bother.... I can remember the filming of the instructional video it took three weeks nack to back and eight complete shoots to get it right. I even have the pictures as a souvenier.
