NWZ Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Just gauging interest, tomorrow I'm having a full set of Falkens fitted. Rather than hand over a really good set of Michelin Pilot Sports with approx 3.5mm tread to the garage (who I am sure will flog on anyway) - I was wondering if anybody would be interested in them maybe for a track day? They're all in really good condition, no feathering, no punctures and the tread wear is even across the tyres. Cost me £750 originally. Collection only due to the weight - North Wales / Cheshire area. Make me an offer - and I'll see if it's worth me keeping hold of them. PM if interested.
Beavis Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Why are you changing them Mark if they have 3.5mm left?
NWZ Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 2 things really, I wanted to get a new setup before the winter kicks in and secondly I don't have much time after tomorrow to get them fitted. And don't really like running them under 3mm. 1/2 mm will probably only last about 1k miles do you think anyway?
Trev-the-Rev Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 But why are changing from MPS to Falkens when imo Michelins are a better tyre.
NWZ Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 Price £436 vs £700 and thought I'd give the falkens the experience
Trev-the-Rev Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Price £436 vs £700 and thought I'd give the falkens the experience I can certainly understand your reasoning if it's down to price.
Sarnie Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Price £436 vs £700 and thought I'd give the falkens the experience £700? You can get them miles cheaper than that...........
