Filler polish or wax?

There a small chip (about 3mm) and a very thin scratch (too deep to polish out), on my gunmetal JDM...What best way to hide this without paint?

 

How about some sort of filler polish or wax?

touch up paint

as above , then cut back/ wet sand , bit of hit and miss to the final result , but better than a filler polish as after a few washes it will reappear

touch up isnt expensive from Nissan, iirc cost me £6 for paint and lacquer

touch up is easy to balls up too, I have chips on my gm too, but Im waiting untill it gets that bad (i get a new chip every week) then i will get the chips away guy in to do the lot as the price is the same for 1 chip as for 10 chips(same panel that is)

I want to see how i get on without paint at first......its on the rear quarter so will be visable with paint touchup i should imagine....

AG srp is a good filler but that will be ok for light swirls and that , but with a stone chip it will just appear white.

only other thing thats springs to mind and im not a fan of is colour magic , at least it might hide the chip

you need to layer touch up paint not blob, polishes will just wash off

 

get chipsaway to do it
