Clutch Pedal gone to floor

Aye up.  2006 convertible.  Clutch pedal has lost pressure and can see it's hydraulic so wondering if anyone here knows which cylinder usually fails on these? Is it the master or the slave? Hoping it's gonna be on outside of gearbox too and not one of these faffy drop the gearbox jobs.

Thanks in advance.

It will be the slave cylinder. highly unlikely to be the master. On your model I think you are in luck and it is on the outside of the gearbox, fairly straightforward job to replace, all traders on here sell the replacement kits. Its the HR model 07+ that I have which is a pig where the slave is inside the housing.

Ahh OK brilliant that's a relief.  Sounds like a pretty easy fix.  They on ebay for £25 so I'll give it a go.  Didn't much fancy dropping the gearbox and balancing it on my knees at my age lol.

Thanks mate got it sorted.

As a heads up to anyone else I managed to score next day delivery on this. https://amzn.eu/d/8wkTGMy

£12 quid and although not exact match it bolted up fine.  Had a bit of an issue in the the banjo bolt feed in bottomed out on the intake but whacked three copper washers on the cylinder side of the bolt and faffed about a vomit getting the feed to mine up and it works a treat.

Not bad for a Saturday delivery, hour n a bit of faffing and a bottle of brake fluid, three extra copper washers and a total 18squid spend. Lol.
