Smartin04 Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 So i just got a 350z with an injen dual exhaust system. The system adds great horsepower and is loud, but I'm looking into replacing the muffler. I dont mind the loud low rumbling of the engine when idling or when not giving it gas, but even when pulling 1000-2000rpm the car has a very obnoxious and higher pitched sound to it. I was wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for a different muffler system, that has a deeper rumble and maybe that's a little bit quiter to install on my exhaust. You might want to check what cats, high flow cats or test pipes you have on the car, these are the ones that usually create the rasp, drone, high pitch sounds etc. They will be the pipes before the Y pipe, connecting the manifolds with the Y pipe, in case you're not aware.
