Mack Posted June 3, 2020 Share Posted June 3, 2020 Hello, I am planning to remove the BOSE amp, sub, speakers etc and replacing it with a Sony XAV-AX1005DB and with 2 or 4 speakers. The idea is increase storage space and reduce weight for track days etc. It's still my daily hence i'm not quite ready to ditch the stereo altogether. I originally planned to keep the Bose speakers however I understand the speakers in the car are 2 ohm, while the Sony head unit works with 4 - 8 ohm speakers (55W x 4 @ 4 ohm). There can any recommend some reasonably priced speakers that are reasonable quality? If I keep the front speakers they will be mounted in the doors, If I keep the rear speakers they will be mounted in some sort of enclosure below the rear strut brace. Any help appreciated.
