Passenger window auto (not) return

Hey.. looking for any guidance

I noticed that my passenger window had stopped auto-returning.

Tried the usual reset but without luck.

Finally get it booked into Nissan (under warranty) to look at it.

So far they've not identified the issue.

Other than trying the reset, they've tried replacing the window switches - no luck.

 

Unsure how long it's been broken - 99.9% of the time I have no passengers or need to open the door.

 

Any ideas I could pass onto Nissan?

 

I did have a Ecutek remap done last April; any potential that that could have caused it?

I own a 2017 and AFAIK its normal for the passenger window to NOT auto return.  Drivers side does but not passenger - Safety feature?

Mine definitely auto-returned when I picked it up.

I had to do the reset procedure for both windows in the garage before driving off.

To add a little detail my passenger window only auto returned after I modified the switch (allowing second position) which was detailed on this Forum back in the day. Drivers window was fine from day one.

Not sure we are on same topic:-)

I'm talking about when you open the door, it drops to allow you to clear the frame.

When you close the door, it should pop back up again.

 

Mine isn't popping back up - passenger door only.

Usually the reset procedure works - had to do many a time on previous Z's

 Your right I am am talking auto return when shutting the window using the window switch on passenger door. You must have a problem with the door switch or something more.

Giving Nissan until tomorrow, then will collect car.
At the moment they are getting thing to try from Nissan Technical..

Not much confidence right now!

For anyone interested and to keep the thread updated should anyone else have similar in the future...

 

Nissan now plan to replace the motor tomorrow.
