Centre rear jacking point for aftermarket exhaust

Can the centre rear jacking point on the rear diff be cut off? Is there going to be any oil held in? Bought an aftermarket exhaust and it's close to fitting but for the jacking point if it could be cut down or near as flush it would fit.

I'm pretty sure they are a solid lump so you "could" cut it off - I wouldn't though as even if it is solid it may weaken the casing and cause it to split.

 

I would guess you bought an exhaust for an import which have a smaller Diff housing, I would suggest the exhaust is modified to go round the jacking point rather than cutting it off though.
