atchi123 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I Am going to get some Toyo Proxes for the Zed front and rear. Some of the sites say 'reinforced' and some don't. Are they all the same and if not do I need reinforced? Planning on getting them from Blackcircles unless anyone has any better suggestions? Ta Steve Quote
lomoto Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 re inforced tyres are generally the run flat type (or so I believe ) you dont need this designation on your tyres, the Bridgestones for instance are appalling tyres and they are reinforced Quote
M13KYF Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Nothing special just get T1-R's +1 or look at Falkens Quote
Mathys Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Do they mean extra load with reinforced? This is only desirable for heavier lorries/SUV's etc. Quote
Andy Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 All the T1-R's are the same so no need to worry about that. Reinforced just means it has a stiffer side wall and the extra load tyres are suitable for the larger cars such as A8's. some larger Mercs etc and small vans until you get up to the commercial tyres. It's all about the weight rating needed for each inparticular vehicle but you'll be fine with the T1-R's. Quote
N15MNO-Daron Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Are Blackcircles the best place to buy these from? I went on their website to get quote for set of 4 T1-R tyres for stock 18" and it totalled £548.30 (thats incl fitting) Is that too much? Quote

I'd check around locally, I have just bought a full set of Toyo's from the local independant dealer, £100 less than Blackcircles. 275/40/18 and 245/40/18's - £599 locally, £696 Blackcircles. Quote
M13KYF Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I got Toyo's from ATS. They don't stock them but they can get them in and you get discount with an AA card. Paid £137 a corner Quote
N15MNO-Daron Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 £137 x 4 = £548 (exact quote from Blackcircles) Quote
Chesterfield Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 If you do go with black circles, dont forget the discount code we have with them which will give you 5% off. Quote
