Looking for a quick sale on my Zed, its a UK 04 plate with 39k miles with a Full Nissan Service History. I'm the second owner, had it from 3k clock miles. I live in Wokingham if anyone wants to take a look...

its got electric heated seats and cruise. i'll try my best to put some more miles on it for you verma

great ta, i take it that suggests that there is no easy fix for this and that it requires technical intervention? Oh well, I'll give them a tinkle.

just been reading through this post as I have this exact same problem - left speakers cut out when playing CD only, brake hard and it comes back on/goes off. Its fine with radio so sounds like this 'faulty laser pickup'. Question is, is there a cheap way of fixing this...a previous post mentioned trying a CD laser cleaning kit? Already had the unit replaced once under warranty because of the 'cold-start CD skipping' issue - BOSE units suck balls!!!

seriously that is the one thing that is putting me off, its undoubtedly a subtly cool golf but its still £24k for a hatchback.

The 4wd is one of the reasons I fancy it. Interesting you say the 4wd is not always on, i'd not read that. My mates got a Golf Gti and its a great drive, but it just doesn't have the pull-on that the zed has and when he had 4 of us in the car it seemed to struggle to get going! I'd reckon although the 0-60 between the R32 and Gti is similar, in the real world the R32 would kill it 30-70.

I know I'll probably get a lot of 'the Zed will pish on it' posts but I am genuinely considering trading the Zed in 6-9 months for one of these. Basically because the missus refuses to drive the Zed and we need something more practical and comfortable for long journeys. Is the R32 as quick, handle as well, drink more/less fuel? anyone had one to compare?

just had Toyo T1Rs all round from Bracknell Tyre and Battery (awesome by the way and cheaper than anywhere else) and they seem quite a bit better than the Stones.

Hi Got some EBC redstuff from Brakes4U as the stealers quoted me something silly for OEM pads and fitting. Kwikfit initially said £60 to fit front and rear but when I called back they said they wouldn't fit customer parts, only there own. A local garage then qouted me £130 to fit! Is this right or can I get a better deal? Seems a bit steep... p.s. I know I could fit them myself but I;ve never done it before and am going on a 2k driving trip to France and want everything to be spot on Thanks

I Am going to get some Toyo Proxes for the Zed front and rear. Some of the sites say 'reinforced' and some don't. Are they all the same and if not do I need reinforced? Planning on getting them from Blackcircles unless anyone has any better suggestions? Ta Steve

Hi all Got an issue with the left side speakers intermittently cutting out/distorting which it seems from the forum is a known fault. The issue is I had the head unit replaced 6 months ago for the cold skipping problem, now the car is out of warranty! I think I have some case here to complain and get this problem fixed..what do you think are my chances/best approach with the dealer? Tks Steve

The car had 2700 miles on the clock when i got it and has only done just over 10k now and aircon use has been light by me since i have had it. Not going to get them to do it as I reckon its fine. Will check it over the summer and see how its getting on. tks for the replies.

Hi My Zed is in for a service and MOT, its an 04 plate and they are saying that the air-con needs re-gassing as its not cold enough. Now I have noticed that its not exactly freezing air-con but its ok and surely aircon re-gassing shouldn't be required this early in a cars life?! Quoted me £89 for it... Any thoughts, is this a known issue? Ta Steve

I am out of the country but will check the service booklet when I get back. Sounds like a P1 though by all accounts. Whats the damage on a P1 and is it the same cost at all dealers? Is the Nissan std oil, etc goodf enough or should I get some better stuff? Thanks to all...
