Initial_j Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Looking to put a switch into the yaw sensor to fully disable traction control on a aftermarket switch found a few guides but for older 350z so the wiring colours are different looking at attached picture, does anyone know which wires to use mine is a late 2006 model, facelift interior/lights etc picture: Quote
andybp Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 have you tried unplugging it to see if it actually disables the traction control ? if so the old ones had a 12 volt supply, use a volt meter to find the 12 volt supply cut the wire and put the switch in there well theoretically anyway Quote
karlh Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 The white wire with the red stripe is ground (earth in the Queen's english). Interrupting this lead will take the yaw rate sensor out of the loop. I recommend using this wire instead of the 12v wire to avoid any possible electrical glitches. Quote
Initial_j Posted June 17, 2018 Author Posted June 17, 2018 Thanks guys andy- unplugging it compeletly would work but would have the dash lights on permanently. Rather have it switchable Quote
