its a Pioneer DEH-P7000UB which i think looks quite good and has a few features on it.

what i am after is havign the steering wheel controls workign with it and also incorporatign it into the bose amp/speakkers.

Hi there, I've just ordered an ISO from dvbcaraudio.co.uk. The ISO lead is part number AIS2260-ISO-LEAD and costs £23.95 with free delivery.

This will connect to the (Bose) amp as long as your head unit has a pre out. I've not fitted mine yet as I only ordered it today so I can't comment on the steering wheel controls... I'm not too concerned if it doesn't work, you can only control the volume and track up/down. Cheers, Matt.

very true but the head unit is nice and close in the Zed. I'll post an update once I fit mine to see if the steering controls work.

I had a 205 GTI years ago and it was real hazard playing with the radio with my short little arms!

I'll email dvbcar audio and see what it all is that i need then and see if they can do me a deal on the head unti i am after also if i buy everything from them.

Sorry to hijack the thread, guys, but.....

Tim, quick questions - does your steering wheel have stereo controls? If not, have you ever considered swapping it for one which does, and would it be possible to connect it through the existing wiring in the JDM?

no Jim mine doesnt have the steering wheel controls, never considered replacing it with one that did, as it looks a big job  besides the head unit I replaced the JDM radio with has a remote control unit :)

Thanks Tim - that's what I thought - too big a job to make it worthwhile.

I like the idea of the remote control, except..... what happens if you drop it and you're fumbling around on the floor, take your eyes off the road for a second and ...... :scare:
