Disconnecting the washer jets on the lights

hmmmm since they come out by water pressure (not motorised) would say taking them off shouldn't be that difficult.... BUT why don't you keep them on the Nismo Bumper???

Also their is the consideration come MOT time. Headlamp washers must be present on cars with Xenon bulbs.

Have heard though that some JDM have got through this law on the SVA test.

I thought the bumper didn't have the holes?? I've just delivered the box to the body shop, they said they are just gonna clamp the tubes??

What you reckon?????

You may have to cut the holes out. Would seriously think about fitting them as the car could fail the MOT. :surrender:

I wonder the reason for no holes is because the Nismo front bumper is JAP, Their is no rule on Xenon headlamp washer there so haven't bothered. :headhurt:

The headlamp washer jet really fcuks me off!!

I wish there was an on-off button or something similar, for example, I’ve cleaned the car, its lovely and polished, go for a drive and need to wash the windscreen because of a dead fly or something and then…… whoosh the front wings of the car are covered with fluid from the washer jets - just because I wanted to clean the windscreen!!!

totally agree.

On the TT you could still wash the windscreen without doing the lights by tapping the stick. IF you held it down for over a scond it would also do the lights. Liked it that way.

the washers only come up automatically if the lights are on. the first time you use the wipers. then about once every 5 times from then. if you don't want them to wash your clean car, switch the lights off ;):)

No it only does it when the lights are on!!

I won't miss them, the amount of times I've polished and then come a cropper when I've squirtted the windows!

I Know theres an MOT issue but to be honest the car will be long gone before then anyway, I'd rather not have them.
