New clutch fitted (Xtreme with SMF) - slave cylinder doesn't reach clutch fork

The slave cylinders are known for being a big weak point, hence why people upgrade them especially when fiddled with.

 

From looking at the part numbers, it seems like you've been supplied the right part. So that only leaves two options, they've assembled it incorrectly or the slave is goosed. Have you run who you bought it from?

Cheers. They're trying a new slave cylinder so fingers crossed its that. If not then gearbox back out job!

So the new slave cylinder was fitted, and there is more movement now but it still isn't right..

Then either the kit is wrong, or they've fitted it incorrectly bud. Its one or the other and sadly means box back off again! As you say was fine before so there the only two culprits

Apologies, kept meaning to provide an update.

 

So, I've got the car back. After replacing the slave cylinder, and further bleeding and pedal adjustment it's all sorted. The biting point is very low (as in, as soon as the pedal moves off the floor at all, the clutch begins to engage), but otherwise it's great! Pulls very well! The Xtreme SMF isn't that noisy at all either. On idle it's silent, and there's a bit of noise with low rpm (say 1k-2k), but then you don't hear it further up. Pretty happy with it, and the throttle response is much better too.
