so while I was waiting for some parts for my ITB project I decided to something about the exhaust.

After removing my rear mount turbo I went back to my dual exhaust system

which was just too loud it was ok before I fitted the High Flow Cats but not now so I refitted the system I was using for the Rear Mount Turbo as a starting point

and ended up with this

the takeoff that used to go to the turbo initially went to a small silencer being used as a helmholtz resonator which took out the drone I used to have with this system but it just didn't have the throaty growl so I cut the sealed end off the resonator fitted a motorised valve in it's place the other side of the valve goes to an identical silencer then straight into the back of the tailpipe

When the valve is closed it just acts as a resonator and the exhaust is quite subtle when open a proportion of the exhaust gas bypasses the backbox passes through the 2 small silencers to the tailpipe and puts a silly grin on my face :teeth:

The best of both worlds
