RagingKileak Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Hey peeps, Looks like my Bose head unit is one of many which skips. Unfortunately I only have a mickey mouse warranty on the car, which doesnt cover it. Is there a fix? If not, are there any nice, close to OEM head units that anyone reccomends? I dont mind dual or single din, but I DO want to keep the original look - colours, black plastic, as close as possible to the BOSE! Cheers Matt Quote
shire350Z Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 know the feeling mate im tryin to source a original one Quote
H5 Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I know that you can get a few double din headunits...... http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/double-din-c-796.html But not many keep anything like the original look... Quote
Zummertor Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I found on mine that if I leave it outside overnight with CDs in then it sometimes skips but never if I take CDs out. This is something that the manual indicates can happen, worth taking your CDs out and ensuring they are without condensation before going too far with a replacement. Quote

kennyc Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 You can get a reconditioned one from Nissan and/or Clarion, can't remember exactly how much but it's in the region of £350....or if you want to go new it's around £1000 (ouch)! Quote
Stew Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 And if you buy a recon it'll happen again. I'd buy aftermarket and then keep the original. Come sale time put it back in and then you have a nice new stereo for the next car! Quote
