Hey peeps,

Looks like my Bose head unit is one of many which skips.

Unfortunately I only have a mickey mouse warranty on the car, which doesnt cover it.

Is there a fix?

If not, are there any nice, close to OEM head units that anyone reccomends? I dont mind dual or single din, but I DO want to keep the original look - colours, black plastic, as close as possible to the BOSE!

Cheers

Matt

I found on mine that if I leave it outside overnight with CDs in then it sometimes skips but never if I take CDs out. This is something that the manual indicates can happen, worth taking your CDs out and ensuring they are without condensation before going too far with a replacement.

You can get a reconditioned one from Nissan and/or Clarion, can't remember exactly how much but it's in the region of £350....or if you want to go new it's around £1000 (ouch)!

And if you buy a recon it'll happen again. I'd buy aftermarket and then keep the original. Come sale time put it back in and then you have a nice new stereo for the next car! :yahoo:
