Value of a running 370z engine

Hi,

 

Just wondering if anyone here knows how much a 370z engine is worth if sold separate from a car? If a breaker was selling them, cant seem to find many for sale so thought id see if any of you know

Think the last one I saw for sale was about £1500. Obviously price is going to depend on age, mileage, condition etc though.

I'd say more like 3 grand

Why do you need one ?

Ok, i thought itd be more like the 3k mark, 350 engines go for bout the 1500 mark, or at least thats what i sold my last one for.

 

Im looking at buying a 370z with like 4k miles on it nd breaking it, written off, looks like it might be worth buying

If you factor in the price of everything else gearbox brakes etc

The engine I was referring to was highish mileage and unknown history, so was a £1500 gamble.

If your talking about an engine with only 4K miles then obviously it's going to be worth a lot more.

Just remember it takes a long time to get to the break even as parts may not sell as fast as you think. I believe the car in question is front end damaged and all the airbags have deployed so those items can't be factored in. Good luck whatever you decide

I suppose as the 370 Is relatively new in old car terms big parts like engines and gearboxes are not realy needed to much at the moment
