some of you may think I'm pretty tight but I just like value for money I do a really S**T job for mine so don't part with it easily so I changed my rear drop links recently for standard type non adjustable ones with pressed steel ball joints

but having dropped the car a little I didn't like the anti roll bar position so started looking for adjustable versions and was not too impressed with the quality of some and the price of others so ........

Ingredients

1 length of 18mm hexagon ally bar

2 x 10mm right hand thread rose joints + locknuts

2 x 10mm left hand thread rose joints + locknuts

8 x M10 flanged NYLOC nuts

4 x M10 button head socket screws

1 x lathe

1 x M10 right hand tap

1 x M10 left hand tap

1 x 8.5mm drill bit

cut hexagon rod to approx. length

finish to exact length in lathe (and put a chamfer on the end because it looks nice)

and while it's nicely centered in the lathe bore 8.5mm hole through the middle

I also tapped the holes in the lathe to ensure they went in straight left hand one end right hand the other

then assemble as in the picture below

Cost £25 :teeth:

these are actually the front I will make the rear tomorrow

and before someone asks why I used rose joints instead of ball joints with nice rubber seals which will last longer well the answer to that is because I felt like it and I only do 600 miles a year

:)
