painting polyurethane louvers

Managed to bag myself a set of stillen side window louvers and want them gloss black to match the pillar garnish. Decided to spray them myself to save a bit of ££.

Anyone got any ideas of what primer would be best used??

I used halfords plastic primer followed grey primer on mine and they have been fine.

Thanks ZEUS, just a couple of coats of each then? How comes you used two different primers, isn't the plastic one sufficient?

Yes just the plastic primer would be fine, I was just using up what I had in my garage

Ahhh makes sense. Did you put anything over the top once finished?

[ZEUS]

Yeah I lacquered them after the colour coat.
