Broken fuel door locking mechanism!

Hi there, had my Z for a year now and ever since I bought it I realised the locking mechanism was broken. I am doing a few bits n pieces to the car and figure I may as well get this sorted. Does anyone have any idea if this is a potential DIY job or is access to it extremely difficult. The mechanism itself appears still to work as you can see it moving, it is just that the plastic latching piece has snapped.

So, how much is the part and how much are Nissan going to want to charge me? I can always take it to a good independent near my place of work if someone could be kind enough to give me a part number so that I can source it.

I recently fixed my sticking boot issue, by removing the springs and instead of using pennies for fear of damaging bodwork (unlikely I know), I inserted some felt furntiture pads. This seems to have worked as having 100% success thus far.
