steering wheel/ with and without controls.

probably a stupid question but would rather know for sure before spending money.. basically I'm planning a retrim on my steering wheel but I don't want to have no use of my car for 2 weeks while the wheel is away. can get my hands on a cheap oem wheel. my current wheel has the controls but the one I could buy doesn't.

 

I take it this wouldn't matter and the controls would switch over onto the replacement wheel?

can I ask a question? Why not just send the cheaper one to get redone?

it will be the cheaper one being sent to get retrimmed. im just unsure if behind the airbag etc is different for allowing the wiring to go through for controls as i'd want the controls swapped from my oem wheel to the re trimmed one which originally hasnt got controls

Yes you can just swap the controls from your wheel to the retrimmed wheel.
