I could recommend a Nissan Pathfinder - good firm seats and excellent ride, keeps your back straight, excellent long distance cruiser,- easy to get in and out of, 32- 42 mpg on motorways 2.5 diesel turbo engine, or if you can spare the fuel costs go for the petrol version (discontinued now) but supposed to go like stink and you can probably buy for a packet of sweets since no one wants bigger engined petrol vehicle these days? Buy one in white and paint a big UN logo on the doors! Mazda 6 also very good - since new one is out now you should get a good deal on the previous shape. Dont forget the Chrysler 300CRD - however I did'nt find the seats to be very supportive unfortunately - I am used to planks of wood for my seats so they felt a bit soggy?
