The push button seems to have come loose? Anyone know how to get in there? It has my mobile phone trapped in there!! Help 2005 FairladyZ Quote
cmck13 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I've looked at a spare centre console I have and the mechanism when you push the button moves a small lug at the bottom of the door upwards away from the bottom of the cubby hole and then of course the spring mechanism opens the door up. I assume when you push the button in its not moving the lug upwards?Thats the simple bit I can think of two ways to resolve it the first is to remove the whole console something I wouldn't want to do but if needs must this will give you access from the inside to push the lug upwards. Personally I would attempt to get a thin blade in the gap of the door directly in the middle below the button and try to move the lug upwards while gently pushing the cubby door at the top inwards. May work may not other wise it looks like it plan B. Wish you luck Quote
