cars been to local garage for service and while it was there asked them about the clicking driveshafts so they'v called round and there only a dealer part!!!

 

each driveshafts around 650 quid each plus VAT then theres fitting!!!

hmm.... pm kev at envy iirc he was putting together a kit of parts for the driveshaft repair

They are definatly not cheap I was lucky enough to have mine replaced under warranty

And is the reason alone I shelled out for the extended warranty!!

Nah, that's absolute bull. Just had mine replaced last week, NMGB agreed to pay 50% as the car is only just out of warranty - cost me £400 still hurt a bit but defo worth it and I have 12 months warranty on the driveshafts now.

 

NMGB don't agree to pay VAT so the total bill all in was about £750. For BOTH driveshafts. I have the paperwork to show it.

 

Oh, and I had extended RAC warranty but I cocked up as they need the car to be serviced every 6k and I didn't read that bit.... damn.

My sunburst one went to the stealers with clicking drive shafts 2 weeks before I traded it in.When they got it back the drive shafts were clicking again.Someone must have been driving it like a tw*t.
