Paul K Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) Sorry if this has been covered before. I picked up my 2005 roadster yesterday and it has the Birdview satnav installed, the one with the remote, not the fixed buttons anyway...the remote seems to be misbehaving, as if the "enter" button is permanently pushed. so i can't scan to access different parts of the nav system...it just seems to skip directly to the previous owners home address....i'm sure he would be happy to see the car again, but its a bit of a pain!! does anyone know if there is a simple fix to resolve the "sticky button" syndrome or am i destined to trawl eBay for a replacement (unless one of you fine chaps has a spare or a replacement that you want to offload) cheers Edited September 30, 2015 by Paul K Quote
martinmac Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I have a birdview system which is not in use. I am away at work at the moment but if you pm me a reminder after the 12th oct I will see if I can find it, if so you can have it. Quote

martinmac Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I am up in cumbria but will post it down to you. One rather obvious point with the birdview which I learnt the hard way. Always carry spare batteries. I was in Leicester visiting CS when my batteries ran out. It wasnt fun. Quote
Paul K Posted October 1, 2015 Author Posted October 1, 2015 i'm wondering if its the batteries that are causing the remote to misbehave....i'll change them !! Quote
Paul K Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Defintely not the batterrries!!!! I pulled the remote apart, and its the little joystick that forms the L/R/U/D and enter button, thats shagged... look for my PM after the 12th!! cheers 1 Quote
