load of hot air (moved from forced induction)

Well looking into my engine bay it has been fitted with a K&N induction pipe which is sucking in nice hot air, not good. I met a fellow Z owner today who said there is available somewhere a box that has another pipe attached which in turn takes in cooler air. All I have is what you see in the picture. Without ordering and replacing the whole lot, has anyone out there got the missing bits? or know where I can get the missing bits?

I'd just put a heat shield on and have done. It's a lot of effort to try and put that filter in a box with a pipe, mights well fit a stock air box if your going to do that

The standard airbox has a direct feed if I remember correctly. That and a Performance panel filter might be the best option.

or that! As i told you... OEM airbox with velocity stack mod and performance panel filter for best gains.

KK, got it now, I have ordered the parts. Exactly what does the 'velocity stack mod' do in terms of the amount of cool air entering the air filter housing? Is this a flow rate thing?
