Going back to standard exhaust after remap??

Hi Guys i had my DE remapped last year with Japspeed, De-cats, Y-Pipe and a K1.

I've just bought a HR standard system, i aim to keep the decats but run the HR Y-pipe, cut out the silencer in the center pipe and run the standard backbox.

will this cause me any issues in terms of the map and peformance or restrict it at all? I know the HR y-pipe is alot better then the DE, but is it better then a Aftermarket?

would I be better off keeping the Cats and Y-Pipe and just changing the centerpipe and backbox?

Thanks in advance!

Jason

in order of restrictions against power, its probably cats, y pipe, plenum spacer and air filter, then exhaust.

if you're keeping the free flowing cats you'll be unlikely to feel much difference in power, and you'll still get the rasp from decats, but just wont be as loud. I think you'll be fine swapping a K1 for a HR exhaust.

thanks Brilo, exactly the sort of explanation i was looking for, i'll be reatining my intake, plenum de cats, so hopefully as you say the change of the HR to the K1 should be okay
