  1. apologies for the lack of quality!
  2. sounds awesome! focal speakers would have been my choice tho!
  3. yes and wheels! lol and remote start
  4. http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /5221.html This is the power cap I got
  5. drops voltage in heavy bass and then boosts back up when there is a break from the bass.
  6. Well the inverter seems to be working well to be honest. Why is it less efficient. Also when I crank the music. Even with a top rated Stinger Powercap/Battery the voltmeter goes from 14V to 8-9V in seconds. Something to worry about?
  7. http://cartft.com/catalog/il/453 I got one of these coming soon as well. I ordered it today. Not sure where I am going to mount it! Possibly where the ashtray is in the centre console bit. Any ideas?
  8. I will post some pics and a video of the system running tomorrow. I cant guarrantee my camera work will be very good! lol I couldnt mount that massive JL audio amp underneath the seat - it is way too big!! Also I have the PC and the other amp on the floor in the boot.... One way of making it stealthly would be making a bowl like shelf that the amp sits in side and then a cover to go over the top of that. But that would be even more expense. I am happy with what I have so far!
  9. work in progress photos will have to wait a little while cos my mate has them all on his camera. Yeah is another amp to feed the speakers, a stinger power cap+Battery, 450W power invertor, PC and wiring
  10. You do get some glare but I specifically bought a transflective screen to reduce any glare. I might ask them to design some sort of fold any visor for it when its really sunny. I am going to put in a single dinn Alpine stereo below so that the PC outputs go into the Alpine headunit and they then output the signals to the Amps. Just so that I can control it all via a headunit or the PC. But that requires major re-wiring! So not just yet but soon.
  11. The sound is simply incredible. I did wonder if 2x W7 would be overkill but its so sweet. Specially with the focal K2 powers. They are just unbelievable. The Focal V slims arent actually too bad either I really like em! I mounted Focal tweeters the the amp rack also. I going to get the rear window 100% blacked out and also a stealth shelf is being made for it. The dynamatt is amazing too. You can crank the system and not hear too much of the bass if you step out the car. Definitely worth it. Nismo Bodykit next and then more toys after that. Probably Zoorst, Induction and finally supercharger but I'll see. Cheers for the get well wishes! no driving for 8 weeks!
  12. After much delay cos I have just undergone back surgery I am able to post pics of my new 350Z post custom audio operations! Please add your comments negative or positive. More pics to come when im better.
  13. I love the Z detailing too. What speakers did you use in the doors?
  14. hmmm... Centre speaker appeals.... Might have to have a look at that! H5 - seeing as you know your shizzle - what you think of the focal V-slim?
  15. I will definitely be up for the meet. Buy you boys a beer for helping me out. Popped down to the customs place and the car, inevitably, is in pieces as they chops things in and out! One of the Rainbows were damaged and sent back to the suppliers for a full refund. I replaced with with Focal-165 K2 Power speakers with the tweeters to be hidden behind the seats somewhere... Apparently. The door speakers are going to be Focal V-slim speakers to which fit in the doors without the need of any mods. Only downful is that they are nowhere near as good as their bigger brother. Install all going well so far. The screen is mounted in the dash nicely now. Question for all you keeno's..... I now have double dinn slot below the screen area free... What can I use in this space. Shelf unit? Blanking plate? Another screen? Any ideas or suggestions will be grateful! Pics on there way too
  16. Well I bought the top end creative sound to help with sending of the most crisp sound. I have heard a lot about it so I am hoping it does the job. However I am a newbie when it comes to audio installs however I am lover of it and my cars. I take on my step earlier and watched my car. Its beautiful. A marvellous creation and hats off to the designers. I guess you lot are the same?!

    muhahaha I meant how much!
  18. Thanks for your advice. I think two subs would be like overkill but the symmetry of the install is important to me. I can only wait and see! I do like my bass but there is only so much a human ear can take before it bleeds! How much did you spend on your install H5? If you dont mind me asking.

What can you do on a nismo bodykit then?!
  20. Never heard it no. I have bought the specially designed amplifier straight from JL audio that is supposed to run two of these badboys. Its a similar spec to the Orion5000. Give me a clue to how the W7 sounds properly powered?

Bigphil it is then... Whos bigphil... sorry for the ignorance! lol
  22. Righto... I havent given any updates to my install as of yet and to be honest it really has been dragging on long enough! The story so far.... I had originally made a serious blunder ordering 6x6 infinity door speakers and tweeters. These were quickly swapped for the world renowned Focal speakers. I stuck with Rainbow speakers behind the headrest becuase they were already fitted. And I have been told they are actually pretty good. The next error was ordering an AudioBahn subwoofer. Although it is a very good sub its pony to what I swapped it to. Bassjunkies.com phoned to say it was out of stock so I upgraded, free of charge, (thanks bassjunkies) to JL audio W7 10". However changing the sub meant I had to change the Alpine Vpower 1900 watt Amplier I had originally bought. I had been told that the Alpine wouldnt have been able to tickle the W7. But at this point I didnt bother changing the amp for the time being. So after these slights hiccups I arranged to do the first fix of the install with a mate of mine. The double dinn slot was unable to house the screen suffiently and so that was relocated to the cubby hole above it leaving me a double dinn slot... empty. All the wiring was fed through the centre console down along the middle of the seat to the rear passenger glove box. After running the 0 gauge power cable from the battery to the back (which was actually very very easy) time for to mount the sub. Removing the bose sub was easy but the void behind it was not enough to house the DEEP W7. Another error. However the rainbow speakers fitted nicely to the head rests without error! The power transformer was then wired but had to be rewired directly to the battery for a clean power source. As it stod all the wiring was in. The 4 channel amp live and powered up (without sound). The PC was powered up and connect but the screen read the source was out of range. I assume this is the resolution set up on the pc and will adjust it over the weekend. The door cards were ripped off, not literally, to remove the stock speakers. I fitted the speakers but there is not enough clearence for the glass window to slide down. Another error. After all this work... 6 hours.. I gave up. At this point I had spent.. £349 on the screen £500 on both amps £400 on the sub £400 on the speakers £300 PC £200 on extras (Bluetooth etc) Roughly about £2300. I gave up and took my car down to the specialt car audio centre. Voted the best in North London and the only store in London to sell Alpine F1 status speakers.. ie. the top dogs. After much deliberation and great salesmanship from him this is the new install.... 2 Custom made subwoofer houses to fit behind both driver and passenger seats. Fibreglass made and then finished with leather. All resins and materials and fitting for each subwoofer £1000 for the both.... (I had decided to go for another W7 behind the passenger seat at trade price of £350) They are moulding me a new centre console cubby hole to house the screen properly and giving it a professional look. Its gonna look nuts. £500 for labour and materials Soundmatt Dynomatt £200 fitted for the whole car. Doorwork to fit the speakers £230 for both doors. In the back they are going to build a beauty panel to house the PC and the new JL audio amplifier (900RRP I got for trade at £525) to power the twin W7 subs. £300 to build the beauty panel. And then fit a power cap (if required) £250. Basically the custom install is going to cost me £3250ish at trade price. Normally would have been around £7000. Well I shook is hand and he is taking my baby off me on Monday. Finished on Saturday. 5 days work for 3 specialists. What you guys think? Have I been a muppet? Will i be able to compete with you lot on competitions?
