  1. Sounds about the going rate, £60 a wheel in stoke i wish there was a "how to fix your wheels for dummies" guide
  2. Hi again guys im posting all over the show! Got myself an 04 Nissan skyline (infiniti G35) a little while ago. but the radio isnt decoded and doesnt pick anything up! the range is so short. Any ideas if its reprogramable for the uk? is it expensive to do? can one do it themselves? cheers guys
  3. just got a japanese import and tried to get insured on it. Every quote, from A flux to more than was over 1400 quid. 3 yrs no claims, 4 yrs driving Markerstudy underwritten by Aplan insurance charged me 950 :| if anyone is looking to renew, try them. might get lucky!
  4. cheers my main question was how much are people generally payin for each service.. sort of ball park figure. because im assuming 350 Z and the skyline would be similar in price for servicing. Nissan garage arnt very helpful on that front. My local Nissan garage which is one of the cheapest does L1 £89, L2 £159 and L3 £189. P services are more expensive as there done during the Warranty period... If you do a search on here theres loads of info on P service prices. wow that IS cheap where abouts are you!! funny thing is that this Japanese import specialist guy i know only charges 35 quid an hour and still he reconds its 240 for an L2 (my car isnt under warranty anymore) Thats like 7 hours work for a service Think service isnt just about the work involved bud, think is the cost of parts changing over included in that price, i.e filter panels, plugs, oil etc... ofcourse hahaha i know that! but nissan being official would use approved decent parts. etc. that was my point. im gonna check the sparkys as suggested earler, and depending on that, just get an L1 done. its only one 15k miles right?

  10. hahahaah thats so true. i have called them in the past, took them 20 mins and about 3 departments to realise what an infiniti G35/skyline was
  11. oh dear. i bet its gonna be all in Japanese! cheers warm bunch here may be worth asking on a american forum about the plugs thats a good idea. i wonder if a nissan dealer in the UK would know about it
  12. thanks mate you dont think i need to do a P2? problem is, i have service histroy, but its the P1 and its all in Japenese. dont at 13 k miles. so im guessing it was P1 its only 2 k miles more and im getting it done again cos its been 2 yrs plus since. so not sure how much i should wiegh time against mileage here. P1 should be suffice i think, but i just want to be on the safe side. im a bit naive about cars in all honesty. Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated guys and thanks for all thats been said so far..

  14. G37 has had some raving reviews about it. but with a hefty price tag. it launches in 2009 here in the UK, which is good news for current G35 Owners as the car would be more recognised. Bad because it will make my car more common but good interms of not stressing about not having a dealer around. think price will be around 30K but its a beast and a half.
  15. aaah thats good to know well i had some real bad luck with this car the guy really scammed me hard.. basically cars done 15k miles.. which isnt bad for an 04 model. the car has its service done at 13k miles which is great, what the guy didnt mention and what i didnt read was that it was done over 2 years ago!! so just to be on the safe side, i want to get a proper service done .i.e P2 so im sure the plugs are fine, but i just thought best be safer than sorry. unfortunatly the car manual is in Japanese, and i havnt had the chance to order and english one. so not sure what the car has without going in! what do you suggest?
  16. Thanks for the response guys im based in a small town called Colchester in essex. its between chelmsford and ipswich. this place i went to quoted me 240 and said plugs alone are around £80, but nationwide autocentre said all inclusive its 170. i know that i would prefer to see a decent service stamp on my history. the service im getting done is P2 i think. So not sure how much i should be looking for. if nationwide is decent enough, why not save 70 quid u know. problem is, its a Japenese import, which means parts are hard to get hold of 240 guys are a jap import specialist.. but more dear. but i dont want to pay a premium just for the heck of it! any suggestions/referals would be greatly appreciated. pictures attached as requested.
  17. hey guys.] how you all doing? just got myself a Skyline..joined the forum cos i believe we use mutual parts the skyline i have is the Infiniti G35, not the one everyone thinks of when you say skyline Anywho, wanted to know if anyone can tell me how much they pay for thier second service for a 350z? someone quoted me 240, another 170! not sure if they plugs the 170 is gonna use are gonna be bog standard ones or is the other chappy just rippping me off. thanks guys
