  1. There are small pieces of velcro on the back but to be honest it's made perfectly so that it wedges in position, it's not difficult to remove but I never had any problems with it comign out of position either.

  2. Sold the Zed so now I've gotta sell the bits that go with it, although the many pictures, keyring, mug and numerous models will keep the great memories fresh in my mind. Here are the bits that I am getting rid of, pm me if you're interested. The rims have been sitting in my garage for months hence they're filthy, will get them cleaned up soon!

  3. NOW SOLD

This is a fantastic car with all the extras and I have loved every minute of the 3 years that I have owned this car. The car is a UK 53 plate 350Z GT with 59,000 miles on the clock in Sunset Orange and has Alezan leather sports seats.

I have recently put Falken 452’s on the car and the brake pads have also been replaced this year. The car is MOT’ed until February 2012 and it is also taxed until 31st October with current and previous MOT certificates available. During my ownership of this car it has always been cleaned and waxed by myself and I always use Super Unleaded 97 RON fuel. This car has never been tracked and has a full stamped service history and receipts. The car is in good condition and is absolutely perfect mechanically.

I’m happy to answer any questions and provide further information and additional pictures.

  4. Update it started after the trickle had done its job but its dark now, touch wood it'll start ok in the morning and then I'll take it out for a decent run and check all is good. If it doesn't then I guess it'll be a new battery. If I do have to replace it then I'll try and create a guide for the site. The least I can do is give a little back after all the help people have offered me, thank you to all of you.

  5. It wouldn't jump at all, after a few minutes it wasn't close, after awhile it sounded better so I'm hoping that it's just that the other car wasn't pwerful enough. I've borrowed a trickle charger and hooked it up in the hope that that will breathe some life into it.

If it does turn out the battery is there a guide on how to get the old one out as it doesn't look like the easiest place to get to to remove.

  6. Tried the jump leads this morning, decent strength ones and left it running for a good ten minutes but so far nothing, not firing up at all, can smell petrol so I guess the injectors are working?

  7. I'll have to ask the neighbours if they have any cables. I'm guessing they need to be fairly high strength ones?

Also, and I'm hoping that this isn't required does anyone have any thoughts what else it could be?

  8. Anyone? Otherwise it's going to have to be a breakdown call tomorrow, don't trust my local dealer, prefer TGM but they're too far away for the tow people. There is a small independent garage that I trust but I get the feeling this may be too ig a job for them?

  9. Haven't used it since Sunday and went out today and it just won't fire up, it sounds like its turning over but not firing up. Electric locking and cd player are working fine so I'm guesssing it;s not the battery, is it worth trying an ECU reset?

I have 3 lights on the dash, the malfunction, oil pressure and battery but from memory I think that's normal? Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated.

Update: I tried the ECU reset and when I counted the fast flashes as per the guide I seemed to get a code of ten, ten, ten however that's not a code that I can see on the list? The reset didn't appear to change anything.

  10. Looks like she got the looks and the brains for you both Stew. How you managed to net Jayne we will never know, maybe she wants to study your brain ;)

It'd take longer than 3 years to work out what goes on in Stew's head and I'm sure she wouldn't want to know half of it :teeth:

Copnratulations to your fiancee, hope she enjoys the Phd as much as the first degree!

  11. I think you've missed an opportunity by getting the Alfa. I'm thinking along similar lines to Sarnie but I've persuaded the missus that she'd look great in a convertible with the roof down etc. more flattery etc.

She's now getting an MG TF, which should only cost 2 or 3k give decent MPG and hopefully be half decent to drive (obviously not compared to a Zed but vs. a Polo or whatever else she would have looked at!). Now she's happy and I get to test out the convertible thing without having to worry about running a third car

Should havegot an mx-5 though! You could say she looks better in one!

It was looked at, you get much older MX5 for the money though which neither of us particularly liked the look of plus I've always had a soft soft for the MG since the first MGF came out in the mid-90's!

    Hijack....

I know where there's a burgandy Y (01) with 54k on it, with mg front spliter and rear wing (in black) with black wheels. £2,300ish

Oh and chrome roll bar hoop things!

Thanks for the heads up but we've already got our eye on the blue one. That burgundy one does sound nice though!

  12. Unless I crack under the pressure in the meantime.

There are quite a few owners included who havent ordered one yet.

:disguise: Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, into the eyes, your under... When I snap my fingers you will tell me if Im in the club calendar... "snap"....:lol:

    did it work?

I want to know too! And anyone who wants it to be a surprise simply shouldn't look at the thread and everyone should agree not to mention it in any other thread, simples!!!
