  1. I've enjoyed it so far, basically for the reasons that Sarnie mentioned and the 'style' of the Welsh weird David Walliams look-a-like but one thing's bugging me, is Leah really a fully qualified practicing doctor or has she only completed most of her training? She's only 24 and medicine is usually a 7 year course, now I guess it's possible that she skipped a year at school or something or maybe the training is different in northern Ireland? Anyone care to enlighten me on this because it's bugging me every time it shows "Leah Totton, Doctor" on the screen!

Also I was with Rebecca last night, she seems pretty decent which is presumably why the other 4 girls who so far are trailing in her wake are ganging up on her.

Oh and am I the only one wondering if Uzma used to be a man?!

  2. Fricking mortgages are a nightmare at the moment especially for a first time buyer.

I agree, trying to get my first house at the moment but the more I look into things the more I think about just staying at my parents and continuing to save until mortgages sort themselves out.

Interest rates are at an all time low and likely to stay that way for a few years, also there are a reasonable number or 90% mortgages and even some at 95% so I'd be interested to know what you mean by 'until mortgages sort themselves out'?

  3. Stop moaning and make the best of it. I'm sure there are things you can use the X-Trail for that the Zed wouldn't do such as taking stuff at home to the tip. I remember when I had my Zed I was loaned an Insignia for 2 days and I was re-turfing my garden at the time, hello lots of new turf and paving slabs!

Oh and if your that worried about performance why did you take the X-Trail over the Quashqi?!

  4. I have no problem with the old lady at all , rember she is British and when she moved to Zimbabwe it was a British colony and people were activley encouraged to move there by the Government.

Some of my family also did this in the 50's and returned if I remember right in the 80's after being burnt out of their home

One point is that up until the late 60's at least Britain held, controlled and profited from the miming as we had the rights to all the mineral and precious metal resources so the people there were making a large contribution to the UK economy

I completely agree with this as Ewan says Zimbabwe was a British colony at the time and people were encouraged to move there which is why the rules now let her come back and claim that, I think that's only fair.

  5. I agree that certain cars are likely to be bought by a certain 'driving' demographic. I reckon Audi's and BM's are bought by the following people ;

    1. People who buy into the 'German' quality thing. It's a fair point, they do tend to feel higher quality - the door close and dash tap test doesn't lie. I wouldn't agree that reliability follows suit though, they have their fair share of shortfalls here.

    2. People who want a decent drive (usually applies to BMW's or more capable Audi 'S' models (not S-Line) and 'RS' cars. These people use tailgaiting and light flashing as a last resort and you probably deserve it if you're on the receiving end.

    3. Twunts who fell the need to portray an image of success and confidence and get an S Line on the company car scheme. These are likely to be the ones who appear on your ass from nowhere instantly flashing you out of the way. In fact they're probably late for their 'enlargement' appointment

Interesting that Merc drivers rarely display these tendencies, in my opinion?

I think that's fair for me, I probably satisfy most of 1 and 2 and maybe a little of 3, I'll let you guess which bit, hint it's not the image, company car, flashing or enlargement bit

Still at least I'm not going for the old man in a Jag approach, hey Mr Biscuit?! Looking forward to his rant... ;)

  6. Regarding hogging the right hand lane, I spend quite a lot of time in it myself but only if I'm overtaking. I don't think it's my right to occupy it at all times and, truly, it is only BMW and Audi drivers whom I've ever seen racing up behind people (not me  ) in the right hand lane and flashing their lights at them until they moved and then going on and doing the same thing to the next driver that they came up behind. I'll report back if I ever see a little old lady in a Citroen C1 doing the same thing :p

Ah lane hogging, this also applies to the middle lane for me, it's my single biggest hate of drivers, even more so than a lack of indicating. Why is it that people get pulled over for undertaking in these situations, surely the people who create the possibility to undertake should be pulled over for driving without due care and attention or something similar?!

  7. Problem is with brokers they use specialist insurance companies then take there commision.

The bigger the broker, the higher there overheads and you pay the hike.

No way can they ever compete with AXA and the like.

If your car has no mods then steer clear of brokers as they are just raping your wallet.

    :)

Really? Chris Knott have always beaten any quote for me for the Zed then the 5 Series so I'd suggest it might be worth giving tem a call.

  8. yes but football is a non contact sport.

Debatable, it never used to be it's just that the powers that be trying to make it go this way, personally I don't think it should be. Whilst I don't like to see players getting injured good strong tackles are definitely an important part of the game in my opinion.

  9. I don't have a full set but I do have 2 fronts and a rear going (std uk 18"), would that interest you at all? I know that you can buy individual wheels pretty cheaply on ebay and they turn up on here sometimes as well. In light of the fact that I only have 3 I'm sure we can sort a price that's attractive to you!
